Look Good Feel Better are delighted to be appointed one of this year's benefitting charity's from ICAP's successful Charity Day. Since its inception in 1993, Charity Day has raised over £100,000,000 for good causes worldwide.
Together with 15 other charities, LGFB will benefit from ICAP's revenue and commisions donated on the day - Tuesday 3rd December. In 2012, over £11 million was raised and it is hoped that this year they will exceed this fantastic amount.
ICAP's Charity Day is supported by many celebrities, who give up their time to make Charity Day one of the most successful events in the fundraising calendar. The day has been supported previously by HRH The Prince of Wales & Dutchess of Cornwall, HRH Prince William and HRH Prince Harry, Ex-President Bill Clinton, Daniel Craig, Goldie Horn, Oprah Winfrey and Samantha Cameron, to name a few.
Through ICAP's generous donation, LGFB will launch and fund their new Mobile Information Unit, part of the 20th anniversary celebrations. The Unit will enable LGFB to reach more women and teenagers in areas currently not reached.
Ian Daniels, Head of Fundraising commented "We are thrilled to be part of this year's Charity Day. Funds donated through this event will enable us to take a significant step forward with our five-year plan in supporting 50% of women and teenagers living with cancer by 2016."
Member companies and partner organisations are also helping increase the amount donated to LGFB by providing 'prizes that money can't buy' for the online auction for ICAP staff and clients.
ICAP's Charity Day is on Tuesday 3rd December and its is hoped LGFB Mobile Information Unit will be launched in Spring 2014.
