Look Good Feel Better

Charities Working Together!

Look Good Feel Better works with over 30 different charity partners, large national organisations, such as Maggie’s, Macmillan and CLIC Sargent and smaller, regionally based charities, either on an on-going basis or for one-off projects.    We are particularly proud of our long association with Maggie’s and were delighted when a brand new centre at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Surrey was opened and our Chief Executive Sarahjane Robertson was invited to attend.

Maggie’s President Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall was there in her official capacity and said: “As a very proud president of Maggie’s, I’ve talked to many people who’ve been here for help and they always say the same thing, really it just helps them and gives them the peace and quiet and calm.”    In June 2019, during a visit to Maggie’s Centre in Aberdeen, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall watched a Look Good Feel Better Workshop in progress.

Dame Laura Lee, DBE, Chief Executive of Maggie’s, who has been at the helm since the start in 1996 stated that “To be able to work alongside another great charity like Look Good Feel Better means that we are able to offer a service that we otherwise wouldn’t have the staff or skills to offer.  Look  Good Feel Better adds another level of support to the people that visit our centres and is often one of the first visits that someone makes to us. Getting people through the doors to our centres to a Look Good Feel Better session then opens up all of our other support services to someone who might not otherwise have known they were available”
