Look Good Feel Better is dedicated to supporting you at every stage of your journey. We offer a range of workshops and classes providing advice and guidance around the physical changes you may experience while undergoing treatment. Our services provide a great opportunity to meet other men in a safe and welcoming environment, which can be helpful if you are feeling isolated and alone. You can find our support online or in your local community and our services are open to anyone, anywhere living with any type of cancer.
Skincare & Grooming
These group workshops provide expert advice on skincare during and post treatment; tips for shaving safely during treatment along with general grooming; the importance of sun protection, and how to deal with scars. They are a great way to meet others on a similar journey to share experiences and ideas with. Everybody attending is gifted with a bag of full size skincare and grooming products to try out during the workshop and take home with them. These sessions are available in-person and online.
Struggling with body image? We also offer a group workshop addressing body confidence, covering cancer related challenges such as dealing with weight loss/ gain and changes due to surgery. This is currently available online only and if you are interested in attending a workshop or you are part of a support group and would like more information on how to organise a session, please get in touch.
It’s well documented that gentle exercise can be of real benefit to those living with cancer and at Look Good Feel Better we are fortunate to work with a team of volunteer experts who run monthly online classes as follows:

- Mat Pilates
- Chair Tai Chi
- Movement & Mobility
After each class attendees are sent an easy to follow recording so they can continue to practice what they’ve learned. These sessions are online only.
Meditation & Breathwork
Meditation and breathwork is about more than just relaxing. Our expert volunteer has worked with people on their cancer journey, using these tools as part of a holistic approach to wellness and transformation.
The session aims to reduce anxiety, increase feelings of calm and relaxation and access altered states of consciousness through meditation, quieting our busy minds and increasing a sense of inner peace and present moment awareness. These sessions are online only.
The aim is to teach you breathing techniques through yoga and provide you with useful tools, so you have some control over your body, mind and breath, helping you to relax and ease anxiety levels, bringing a profound sense of peace and tranquillity. These simple breathing techniques are so adaptable and gentle that they can be put into practice whenever you feel they are needed. These sessions are online only.
These workshops are aimed to give you an introduction to mindfulness, exploring what mindfulness really is and how it can help us. These sessions are designed to help you get into a positive mindset and guide you to become connected to your present moment and yourself. Our expert volunteers, will provide you with tips and tools to take away, helping you to feel rejuvenated. These sessions are online only.
Helpful Resources for Men
Our detailed Manual for Men includes a wide range of information to help manage some of the side-effects of cancer treatment. We have worked with a number of experts to bring this together and you will find information on skincare, shaving and grooming, oral health, advice on nutrition and fitness as well as body image.
Look Good Feel Better has worked with experts to create a series of video tutorials. Each one has been produced to cover challenges you may be facing through and after cancer treatment – from carefully looking after your skin to the best way to groom, shave and other very practical advice for men.
