LGFB Lipstick It To Cancer with ASOS.com and Avon UK
On Thursday 29th July, Look Good Feel Better is claiming National Lipstick Day as a day to celebrate the transformative effects of makeup on people living with cancer through our #LipstickItToCancer campaign, in collaboration with ASOS.com and Avon UK.
At our Skincare & Makeup Workshops for cancer patients we see first-hand the positive impact lipstick can have on helping finish a person’s look and enabling them to face cancer with confidence. We believe everyone has the right to feel confident in themselves and their appearance under any circumstance and that is why we have teamed up with leading beauty retailers, Avon UK and ASOS.com to bring this exciting campaign to life.
On National Lipstick Day, 100% of profits from lipsticks sold on ASOS.com will be donated to the charity. In addition, customers will be able to make individual donations through a dedicated campaign page on the charity’s website. Meanwhile, Avon UK will be donating 10% of profits from every order placed through their Representative’s online stores and direct through avon.uk.com on Thursday 29th July.
Avon’s Representatives are at the heart of the initiative, with their army of beauty advisors hosting ‘Lippy Lunch’ fundraising events throughout the month to raise critical funds and awareness. What’s more, their customers will also be encouraged to donate £5 by texting to a specially created text to donate (‘LIPPY’ to 70085 to donate £5).
Ian Daniels, Director of Fundraising at Look Good Feel Better says: “After what seems like an eternity of mask wearing and with the removal of restrictions, we want everyone to show their smiles again by getting behind this year’s National Lipstick Day and treating themselves or a loved one to a new lipstick from either of our campaign partners. Then, using the #LipstickItToCancer, post a lipstick selfie on their social channels. The past couple of years have been incredibly tough for everyone, it is time to smile again and show our support for people living with cancer. We are indebted to our partners ASOS.com and Avon UK in supporting this campaign.”
