2022 Award Winners

We were over the moon to present our Gillian Kirton, Volunteer of the Year and our Gerry Gough, Outstanding Supporter of the Year Awards to two very special recipients at our Christmas Concert in December.

Volunteer of the Year Award – Gail Chisholm

Gail has been a Body & Style Consultant since 2014. She has been instrumental in the development of the LGFB Styling with Confidence workshops, alongside the LGFB team and has been involved as well as volunteering for two years.

Gail is passionate about helping women reclaim body and style confidence after life changing events, something that she is able to do through the LGFB workshops and 1 to 1 sessions. Gail works with clients to explore colour, body shape, signature style, confidence (or lack of), and how to achieve and maintain Body Bliss!

Supporter of the Year Award – Coty Bournemouth

Bournemouth has been supporting LGFB for 27 Years. Coty’s role is to receive, store, pack and distribute all of the donations given by the many organisations that support the charity. Every item is checked and stored in their warehouse and they hold around 300,000 units of products and accessories.

Products are picked in line with packing lists received from LGFB and bags are packed in a controlled environment with an average of 4 people working on the production line. They produce 10 different bag types, 9 for ladies and 1 for men and there are over 3,000 pre-packed bags available in the warehouse at any one time.

In an average year they ship around 700 bags per month to workshops all over the UK through their dedicated parcel dispatch teams. Coty Bournemouth provide all the above services free of charge.
