375,000 people will be newly diagnosed with cancer in 2024. The number of new cases in the UK is projected to surge by a third, to approximately 506,000 new cases per year by 2038-40 (Cancer Research UK).

With cancer services stretched to near breaking point, people are being diagnosed later meaning their cancer is more advanced and treatment more aggressive. This leads to patients experiencing significantly worse physical side effects.

100% of people who came to a Look Good Feel Better workshop said that they would recommend it as part of someone’s treatment.

There are 1,000 new cases of cancer every day in the UK and many will have to face the physical and emotional toll of treatment alone.
