Bellway donates £300 to provide free workshop places

Bellway has donated £300 to the charity, which aims to boost the physical and emotional wellbeing of people living with cancer.

Look Good Feel Better offers a series of face-to-face group sessions and online workshops to help people face cancer with confidence, regain their sense of normality, make friends and look good and feel better. Workshops are run by beauty industry experts and offer practical make-up and skincare tips, as well as advice about changes to skin, eyebrows, eyelashes, hair, nails and body confidence. Services are free and open to anyone facing cancer.

Claire Hemmings, Fundraising Officer at Look Good Feel Better, said: “Each place on a workshop costs £50 and we are grateful for Bellway’s help in providing six additional places on workshops in the Bristol area.

“Workshops are held once a month at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre to provide support to people living with cancer from the local area.”

Various workshop attendees noted how these workshops helped them to feel more like themselves again. One beneficiary highlighted how learning new confidence-boosting beauty tips made her feel so much more confident.

Rachel Way, Sales Manager for Bellway South West, said: “When Claire reached out to us we were more than happy to lend a helping hand and support the workshops being held by the charity in the Bristol area.

“It is pleasing to know that our contribution will provide free help and support to a few more people who might not have otherwise been able to afford a workshop space.

“It is truly incredible to hear about Look Good Feel Better and the workshops they provide for women, men and young adults not just in the Bristol area, but throughout the UK, so they can learn beauty and health tips which can help them to feel better within themselves and grow in confidence.”
