Housebuilder supports Look Good Feel Better Workshops at East Surrey Hospital
Bellway South London has funded a series of workshops to support cancer patients at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill.
The housebuilder donated £500 to cancer charity Look Good Feel Better, which runs workshops and virtual classes for men, women and young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Some sessions aim to help with the physical and psychological effects of cancer treatment by providing practical advice on changes in skin, eyebrows, eyelashes, hair and nails, while others focus on well-being and include practices such as meditation, breathwork and gentle exercise.
The money donated by Bellway South London, which has its regional head office in Redhill, will pay for 10 places at workshops run by the charity at East Surrey Hospital.
Look Good Feel Better, which is based in Epsom, has supported more than 200,000 people living with cancer across the UK.
Ian Daniels, Director of Fundraising for Look Good Feel Better, said: “We are delighted to receive this donation from Bellway. It will help us to continue to offer our workshops at East Surrey Hospital for people undergoing cancer treatment in the region.
“Donations such as this one are vital, so that we can carry on supporting people of all ages and backgrounds and make a real difference to how they feel.”
Daniel Williamson, Sales Director for Bellway South London, said: “We are pleased to be supporting Look Good Feel Better with this donation, which will provide workshops for cancer patients at East Surrey Hospital, our local hospital in Redhill.
“The charity provides incredible support for the people it works with at such a challenging time in their lives and also gives them the chance to meet others going through similar situations.
“We are glad our support will help the charity continue providing its workshops and making a difference in the community.”
