New Fundraising Initiative Launched- Bags of Confidence
We are thrilled to launch a brand-new fundraising initiative. Our first-ever ‘Bags of Confidence’ was held at Café Moka in Epsom, with a very special guest appearance from The Worshipful Mayor of Epsom & Ewell, Councillor Rob Geleit, who visited the pop-up sale of pre-loved handbags in support of people facing cancer.
The event proved hugely popular and the bags flew off the shelves, as shoppers in Epsom rallied around with interest and snapped up the gorgeous bags on offer, keen to bag a bargain. An incredible £625 was raised.
The Mayor said: “I am proud to support this worthwhile event which will help raise money towards supporting people facing cancer in the area. With cancer affecting so many of us, charities such as Look Good Feel Better play an essential role within the community and beyond.”
Leigh Beth Stroud, our Community Fundraising Manager, who masterminded the idea explained:
“You might find your favourite designer bag or pick up a hidden gem. ‘Bags of Confidence’ is a simple and sustainable event where these handbags will go to a new home, while raising funds for the charity. And no bags go to landfill, so it’s a win-win situation.”
If you want to host your own ‘Bags of Confidence’ event, we will provide you with all the support you need, with a colourful fundraising pack with helpful hints and tips available at – https://lookgoodfeelbetter.co.uk/get-fundraising-pack/
