“I am not usually a joiner-in,” so says Ally Young in Northumberland, “but I am so pleased I joined the Look Good Feel Better workshop.  It gave me such a lift – I was on a real high when I left.”

Ally had been diagnosed with a rare and very aggressive form of breast cancer in December 2023.  Having had a clear mammogram a few months previously, it was only the onset of severe pain in her breast that made Ally realise something was wrong.  The pain effectively encouraged her to seek help and, fortunately,  an early diagnosis was possible.

Ally is a keen outdoor enthusiast and likes nothing more than enjoying the beautiful Northumberland countryside on walks with her beloved dog.

She talks about her workshop experience with great enthusiasm:

“Everyone had told me that the workshops were really special and I wasn’t disappointed.  The ladies were chatting away, having a great time. Another lady had just had a devastating diagnosis, she didn’t know that much about makeup, but she absolutely loved the workshop!  It really was such a feel-good event and the goodie bags were unbelievable.  I couldn’t believe the products that were included and I am still enjoying using them today.”
