Tribute to Pamela Page

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved and valued volunteer, Pamela Page.

Pamela had been part of our original team of volunteers joining us when she worked for Clinique, supporting our skincare and makeup workshops in Newcastle on a regular basis from the time they were held at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care, to our current home at the beautiful Maggie’s Centre where she was the lead volunteer for many years before her own cancer diagnosis meant she had to step back a little. That didn’t stop Pamela though and she kept her hand in attending workshops whenever she could to support others on the same journey.

Pamela was our first ever recipient of the Gillian Kirton Volunteer of the Year award presented at our Christmas Concert in 2015. This was in recognition of not only the outstanding support Pamela gave to Look Good Feel Better at our workshops, but also all the fundraising and awareness activity she was part of over the years, and there was a lot!

Suffice to say that Pamela was one of those very special people who put their heart and soul into giving. She will be hugely missed by everyone she worked with from fellow volunteers, hospital/cancer centre staff and, of course, the Look Good Feel Better head office team. We were all very fortunate to have known Pamela. Thank you Pamela for your years of dedicated service.
